T-Shaped
This concrete foundation is optimal for freezing grounds. The footing is often wider to give extra support at the base of the foundation.
Frost Protected
A slab-on-grade foundation is placed with insulation on the outside wall and base wall to prevent freezing. This foundation only works with a heated structure, but is poured in one operation as oppose to 3 pours used in a T-shaped foundation.
Slab-On-Grade
Reinforcing rods are placed on a thick-edged slab of concrete to form the footing. It’s best used on a bed of gravel, where the ground doesn’t freeze. With the use of a wire mesh, we can reduce the chance of the concrete cracking.
